Scammed on ebay - help please

Hi
A few weeks ago I sold 2 e-tickets ('TicketFast' I think they're called) on ebay.
He immediately sent payment (just over £10, so it's not as if its much money) and I then sent an email with the tickets attached. I then got positive feedback and so also left him positive feedback. As far as I was concerned, transaction 100% complete. But no...
I got an email a couple of weeks later, clearly a standard email of sorts, from paypal say something like the buyer's bank had reversed the charge as they thought it was unauthorised. I was then to provide paypal with information such as what the item was, when it was sent, contact info etc. My paypal account also showed that the money had been deducted from my account and the transaction was under investigation. The email from paypal had no return address so I just replied it back to the one it was sent from.
Then I shortly after got another email saying thanks for getting in touch and then basically giving me the same standard message again asking for info . This time though I got an email address to send to. The next email I got read:
The amount of money is nothing.
I'm just really annoyed about the fact that I've been unfairly scammed (whether its 1p or a grand its the principle). Also the simple fact I received positive feedback should have immediately resolved this matter. The customer service here is appalling.
PS - I have twice tried to contact this ebay member and have received no reply. Interestingly he had generally good feedback but 2 or 3 complains similar to mine so just goes to show always stick with 100% feedback.

Totally useless.
We have conducted a review of a payment that you received. In this case, returning the funds to the sender was determined to be the appropriate action, and we have completed a reversal of the payment. Good selling practices like trackable delivery, prompt postage and communication between buyer and seller help prevent disputes.
The funds from the following transaction have been debited from your account:Transaction Date: Dec. 9, 2009 13:06:57 CST
Transaction Amount: £11.61 GBP
Buyer's Email: **********
If you have questions regarding this reversed transaction, please contact us using the link below:

We appreciate your patience during this investigation.
Yours sincerely,

You are not allowed to sell things that are transmitted electronically, so you really have no argument with paypal here.
If these had been paper tickets, or if you had sent a print out of the details you could have defended the claim merely by shoing proof of posting, unfortunately that option is not open to you.
Also, all buyers have 100% feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You weren't scammed you lost your money because you didn't understand what you are allowed to sell and how ebay/paypal work. If you wish to continue selling I suggest you look at the T&Cs on ebay and paypal otherwise next time you could lose a lot more money0 -

I have always wondered with this type of thing (and on a Paypal Collection item) if posting the buyer a receipt tracked would suffice?0 -

On the community boards it is suggested that this wouldn't work for larger items as any postal receipt that links to proof of delivery online would have a weight that doesn't make sense. Collect a fridge for instance and have a receipt for a 100g letter sent recorded.
However, for tickets it might work to protect against a paypal chargeback as long as recorded actually showed up as delievered online, and most don't. Although frankly with a £10 item spending just over a £1 to send a receipt recorded doesn't seem to be a good trade off.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. In my case i believe i was scammed.
Exact same thing happened with me a few weeks ago for a small item (worth about £7) got the same email and funds jsut removed from my account, i was told that the buyers bank requested the money back...
I did everything legit the money was revieved vir eBay checkout and all was fine until i got this email, the buyer wouldnt respont to messages (had 2000+ feedback) so i NPS them
But at the end of the day i lost my money and my item0 -
A claim for fraudulent use of a card can be defended by getting paypal to acknowledge their own rules and accept proof of posting. I've defended such a claim myself. However you have to quote chapter and verse at them so they can go read their own rules.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ironically, just after posting this topic the buyer sent me an email saying he'd just got home from holiday and knew nothing about this and he was going to try sort it out.
either way, I've wasted enough time over this. I didn't realise you're not allowed to sell e-tickets online? I even googled it and found many people saying one of the advantages of e-tickets are its much quicker to sell online...0
