It is a tense time waiting to see if the creditors' meeting results in your proposal being accepted, but if the company you have chosen are any good they will have drawn up a detailed document showing how much better off your creditors would be accepting the IVA rather than going for bankruptcy. It is in their interest as well as yours to get the creditors to agree, otherwise they will have done a load of work for nothing. Hang in there, the time will pass and I am sure your proposal will be accepted. If in the unlikely event it is not, and your IVA company cannot negotiate around that by being flexible on their charges, then cross that bridge when you come to it. There are other solutions to debt which can be taken, no one solution is ever easy but you will become debtfree one day.

Like you I went with the same firm in N I and had £40k odd with mbna, my IVA was accepted and MBNA did not even bother to vote although they did not have the bulk of my debt. If McC D present your iva plan they must think it has a good chance of success. Wish you luck, the relief after will be worth the stress

    Hi
I am also with McCambridge Duffy as they are recommended by the National Debt Helpline. I have just had my paperwork through and the meeting of creditors is on the 20.01. Charlie is a nice fella and I found the process very thorough - I hope it all goes well for you.
