  • Can't help with the code i;m afraid but you can have the immobilser disabled in some of the rover ecu's. might be worth checking out the kitcar forums as they use rover k-series engines in quite a few kitcars and have to disable the immboliser.

If this doesn't help you could buy another ECU and remote fobs from ebay or a specialist breaker. I have used Rovaparts in redditch which isn't too far from me, not sure if they will do mail order might be worth asking as they always had what I wanted and were very helpful.

As a final point, have you tried replacing the battery in the fob and then making the fob communicate with the car, on my rovers this was always accomplished by pressing the lock button a few times but you should be able to find the procedure on the internet. Sometimes this wouldn;t work and you would need to remove the battery in the keyfob, hold down both buttons to discharge any remaining residual energy in the fob, refit the battery and then go through the communciations procedure again.

    Best of luck!
I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling ;)

Just a quicky here if its the bubble shape (1996 on) you could try an old trick that may still work! Put the key in the door lock and unlock the car then lock it again but keep the key in the lock position and do not let it return to the centre position where you would normally pull it out! keep it there and wait for some time and you may see the immobiliser light switch off! This may switch off the immobiliser! let us all know!!
