Reputable House Buying Companies?

Hi guys,
Has anyone used one of these companies for a quick sale? Has anyone got any recommendations?
My neighbour sold his house, that had been on the market for two years, receiving only £10K less than the advertised price. And he was out in 14 days and living in Spain!
My sister has a house that needs work, in an area that isn't great, and is desperate to sell. I just suggested she explore the house buying company possibility, if only to get some quotes and possibly rule it out as an option.
Just wondered if there were any good ones; or any to stay well clear of?
Many thanks.

Your neighbour's one sounds good. Perhaps too good. Did he really get just £10k less than his asking price which he hadn't sold on in 2 years? Go on, take a look and tell us!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Yeah, it was on at 190K, sold it for 180K. He was still faffing at that price. I told him to snatch his hand off before he changed his mind!
It ended up being resold a year later for 170K!!0 -
