bt synergy 3105

I have got a flashing envelope appear on the display of the handset can anyone tell me what it means and what to do with it?

    If it's an answering machine it probably means the answering function is on. When no envelope is showing the answering function is set to off. That was so for the Synergy I used to own & for the present BT phone system I have.
    The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

    I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

    It denotes it has the details (CLI, date and time) of at least one missed call in its memory waiting for you to view (see page 29 in the User Guide pdf posted above).

    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
