Replacement shower pump

Hi,
We have an Aqualise Type 3TE 4 bar shower pump which has just stopped working (it's about 10 years old, but gets a lot of use... 3 daughters!). It's just dead, no light, nothing. It has 4 pipes going into it.
Any tips on what might have happened firstly or if it's fixable. Also, I looked it up on the internet and this model seems to be obsolete now so any ideas on a suitable replacement? The Stuart Turner name seems to come up a lot, but they seem expensive.

Thanks very much,
Steve.

when you say its dead no light you have checked the obvious like the electric feeding it is there? like the fuse feeding is intact or breaker is switched on first? just in case you have overlooked it.

The circuit breakers are ok. I can't get access to the isolator switch fuse ( because of the way it's been fitted). I put the shower hose low down and turned the shower on and a bit of water (hot and cold) does flow through it ok, so it doesn't seem to be a water problem, but no life from the pump.

Ok, I unscrewed the socket and managed to get the fuse out, replaced it and bingo, it worked!
    Thank you very much!
I'm just wondering why a fuse should go though. Does this mean there's some sort of problem starting which may recur?
    Thanks again.

hmmm sounds like to me a strong possiablity atm it could be the fuse that you couldnt get access to. the only other way to confirm there is power if you are confident to do only otherwise get in a sparks.
    1. switch off main breaker for house best be safe. then open wire access hatch on pump where the wires go in check all wiring connenctions are tight and no broken wires. when located you will need a multi meter
2.carefully make sure is clear of water and no one is around get someone else to turn on the breaker with your probes put on live and netural and take reading if not 220 to 240 then is fuse or wire feeding it has gone. if you getting juice is simply pump has had its day you will need a new one. kill power again and put all back as found

you do all of the above at your own risk. but thats is what needs to be checked first before anything else if not by you by electrician.

lol just read your reply no what has happened fuses will heat up and cool down also fuses will go over time sometimes it is possiable the shower pump had a surge of electric on it the electric board doesnt offer a complete regulated supply as things switch on and off. if hasnt happend before would not worry about it too much. if keeps happening your pump could need descaling as in limescale i would just keep a little eye on it really.
