Dumping Marketing Material

Hi Guys,

I have about 5000 postcard style leafelts from a previous marketing campaign which cannot be used now.

They're taking up space in our office so I was wondering if there are any rules with regards to how I can dispose of them and/or recycle?

Dispose of them with your normal trade refuse. Dont put them in local authority recycling bins as they are NOT for commercial use.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

contact your council & ask them how they are best disposed of

5000 postcard sized leaflets wont be a big box, so you may be able to take them to the tip with other rubbish, & put them in the paper section

That's very definitely a 'may' be able to, do not do this unless you've been told you can (and take the name of whoever says so!) because if they are identified as YOUR trade refuse at the HOUSEHOLD tip then you could be prosecuted!

And presumably it wouldn't be too hard to identify your company from them, if they were any use as a marketing tool ...

I have this with mu local council, have a trade bin, but most of the waste is cardboard or paper, now do you think they care when I ask them to recycle all this, no. They said there are firms that can take it for a fee. Now why would I want to do that lol.
    Kind Regards
    Bill
