morning all, made my way to uni today only to get told the lectures aren't coming in pah, would be happy but they're giving us directed study to do at home.. on yer bike, if they can't be !!!!!d to fight their way in like us I'm not having homework of them!!

This makes me a little bit :mad::mad:

Given that most students live quite close to their university and most lecturers have to drive / rely on public transport would you have the lecturers risk becomming stranded JUST to come in to deliver a lecture?

Self directed study isn't homework, it's usually background reading on a topic, which a lecture/ online learning resource will build upon and is for your own benefit.

BTW, hope you got your milk ok.

I've texted hubby to ask where he got his from, they're brilliant, he can put them over boots, shoes or trainers! They weren't expensive either!

I can only find them on Amazon or ebay at the moment at pushing £20 a pair.

Sally - yes, they are lovely :D Haven't worn earrings since September though and the holes seem to have closed a bit. Might need to buy a cheap pair of gold studs to try to prise them back open. ny piercings I have had heal really quickly when I stop wearing anything in them.

It wont last long. They'll either be back for dry clothes, or bring a houseful of kids back to use the xbox/wii and empty my cupboards of food.

It didnt start well - DS dropped his house keys and the snow's so deep he couldnt find them. We found them eventually, but I've sent em both out without keys this time.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
