They don't use standard sized bulbs

SES 25, 30 to 50W depending on the model, small spotlights.

There will always be specialist stores selling these, just like they will halogens. Billions of halogens are in use in displays around the world, professionally lighting using all manner on incandescents that aren't even possible to replace with CFL lamps.

    Emmm...some of them do.

We used to have one that used a standard 40W bulb. But I don't know the wattage of the OP's lamp. And I think that if you read some of the other posts, you'll discover you're talking rot.

I'm sure one day an led will be used connected to a 100W resistor to supply the heat. Possibly different type of wax too?

If it makes money they will keep on making it!

Please be very careful dealing with these people, I recently ordered bulbs from them that did not arrive, 3 emails have bounced back and the telephone number listed in their T&C rings through to an answer phone that appears to be a different company.

I have raised a dispute and cancelled my CC......lot of hassle for a couple of bulbs!
