Need to be careful though, as system gets a lot more complicated if you have several pipe sizes...e.g. 15mm off boiler connecting to 22mm in bathroom, in which case flow rate would be limited by 15mm pipe, but then you would experience a pressure reduction at the tap/shower as a result of the 15mm->22mm joint.
What wattage boiler has the OP gone for? As its likely that will be the restricitng factor no?
(unless your mains connection is really rubbish....how are you connected to the mains - old lead pipes, or new blue plastic?)
Super high flow rates can be achieved by fitting a water accumulator tank to the mains supply - but no point unless you boiler is man enough to keep up.0 -
Hi, I got the mains pipe coming into my house replaced to a bigger size & that increased the pressure in my house.
You could call the water board in but make sure all the pipework in your house is maximum size first.0 -
Actually it would have increased the flow rate rather than the pressure but never mind you got the result you wanted.Hi, I got the mains pipe coming into my house replaced to a bigger size & that increased the pressure in my house.

I've not actually bought the boiler yet, but I'm verging on getting the Worcester Bosch 30 CDi, which is 30kw. The claimed water flow rate on Worcester Bosch's web site is 12.3 litres per minute. Is this any good?
