Mould growing on newly plastered wall

I am hoping somebody could give me some advice. Three months ago, I had the spare bedroom replastered due to penetrating damp. The cause of the problem was rectified by the builder. Last week I noticed, white flurry stuffs growing on the wall and realized it is mould growing on the newly plastered wall. I have also noticed some peeling of paint in areas which have been recently painted and a musty smell in the room. The window also suffer from a lot of condensation. I do not know what else I can do besides cleaning the wall with some bleach? All the walls have been recently replastered and waiting to be painted. Shoud I get a damp surveyor to check the room for me? I have contacted the builder and asked his advice. I am quite upset with all these as I have just moved house 5 months ago and seem to be having one problem after another. Thanks

I suspect thats effloresence not mould. This is salts leaching out of the plaster because its still damp behind. Three months is too long for the new plaster (if it was basecoat onto bare walls followed by topcoat skim) not to have fully dried out which should be iro 6 weeks.

This and the efflorescence seem to suggest that the cause of the dampness has not been removed I'm afraid but its difficult to tell remotely like this. Also there seems from your post to be high humidity in the room which will not be helping.

You should not wet efflorescence with anything in an effort to wash it off - water or bleach. All that will do is encourage it more. The solution to it is to brush it off once it is dry, treat with an anti-alkaline primer and then you can repaint safely with your emulsion.
