I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is an american website similar to MoneySavingExpert? It is possible that I may be moving there this year and would love to know a site that would tell me my best options for broadband, phone, etc.
Thanks,
Michael

Not exactly no.
You can look at https://www.butget101.com and that will give you a good start, but there is no real competition for utilities, if you live in a certain area then you will use a certain company, but the site will give you tip on how to keep the house warmer/cooler that sort of thing. Things that you do not even HAVE to think about over here, like sticking a plug in every socket so as not to get the draft in the winter.
If I was to give you one tip, it would be to say. Do not be a snob about coupons,,,,,,they really do make a HUGE difference..also "lose leaders"
If you are moving to North Carolina or a few other states you will have to check to see if they add sales tax to food, and give for that when you get to the till,
Pm me if I can help you any further. Would help to know where you are going to be.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

Thanks for the info. I will be moving to Nashville, Tennessee. Can you tell me is there anything similar to freeview in the US. I was looking at the costs for TV/Phone/Internet and it seems expensive. It looks like it may cost me $90/month.0

To be honest I have no TV in the UK so not sure what you are talking about
Yeah $90 sounds about right for all three. You might want to look at "netflicks" rather than buying cable on top,,,,,ow free tv erm depends on how rural you are talking about to be honest some parts only have the local church station and a local news station.:o
With respect TN is not one of the more "advanced" states! But you will be able to get hold of a farmer that will sell you a full beast for a minuscule amount every year! Of course you could also go hunting/fishing yourself and bag a few:DEbay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

Take heart when looking at prices of thing 90 bucks is nothing like 90 pounds, you can earn that a few hours gardening. Its really not a lot if you look at it that way. And if you are buying a house just think how much more you are getting for your money landwise if nothing else. Nor will you be putting crazy amount in the gas tank, it works out in the end.
Another place you might want to look is https://www.craigslist.org that is unbelievable I can't explain it to you just take a look.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

Sorry forgot this one https://www.homemadesimple.com but I think this may be a person that is trying to flog you a book, check it out though there are some recipes,,,,,, takes a while for it to sink in that all that meat is the cheap way to eat, and you are using a coupon for the bread!Ebay 13
