You're making me crave fajitas too!

Think about how life would be if you had that job and the strain it would have put on your relationship. I'm sure you've made the right choices from what you've said!

Hi Missy, one of my mates did the same as you. She had always wanted to go to the Army but met her now fiance and didn't go. She does still say she'd love to have done it but she's happy with him.

I chose to come back home last year rather than stay overseas and while there are things I miss I don't regret it. I think you just have to think 'Wherever you go, there you are' and get on with whatever you chose. You obviously thought OH was more important at the time and I'm sure you still do so look forward lady XXX

  • Hi Missymoo

I can only echo the sentiments of the others. I'ts dead easy to look back in hindsight and say" I wonder what would've happened if I had or hadn't done such and such...."

Don't fall into that trap as once a decision is made, its usually done for a good reason and if it doesn't work out, try and learn from it but don't beat t yourself up over it.

I relocated away from where I live now in 2000 with my then-fiance but things went seriously wrong as she was taken ill and died suddenly in 2003, which totally wrecked my life. I don't know if we'd still be together if we hadn't relocated but I wouldn't swap the 7 wonderful years we had together for anything in the world. I still miss and love her but I cant change what has happened and have had to learn to live with what cards life has dealt to me.

I am now with a lovely partner who I love very much and who loves me. My life is not perfect but its mine and we will get there...

    Sorry for waffling on...:o

BTW OH starts new job on Monday...yippeee :T

Chrisblue, so sorry and so glad you're happy now.

A lot of my old mates from repping days ( who came home to the UK of their own free will mind) now hark back to the good old days all the time. THEY chose to come home as their were obviously things that bothered them about living overseas so I don't get it. Yes it was great but so is life now, if you make it that way. It's the whole grass is always greener thing I think. I was chatting about it with a rep mate not so long ago and he is with me. It's up to you to make a good life wherever you are and whatever you do. I had very few mates where I live now so I had to MAKE some, which has taken time but is great now.

    Have good days all. XXX

Hey thank you for all your lovely words and thoughts, feel better today, I'm so sorry for you Chrisblue, but well done on picking yourself up and looking at it in the best possible way.

Well have been to the gym and worked out for an hour, well I ran for 9 minutes but my trousers kept falling down!!! How embarrassing, it was all I could do to hold them up, so went on the bike for 45 mins. Then I had to run around the site and get lots of things signed, so am knackered, don't know what to have for tea tonight either, have an uneasy feeling about today, think it's coz I went to the gym and didn't go to circuits as I should have done. whooops, best go next week, not sure if I'm in trouble or not!! Will keep my head down and wait and see.

Not a happy bunny weighed myself this morning and am now 60.6kilos, but on 0.2 kilos over night!!! Now I don't know if this is because I drank sooo much water and tea yesterday, or if it because I had a bounty sweet (minus the chocolate) or because I've beenw orking out a lot lately and muscle weighs heavier than fat.... But if I put on again tomorrow I will not be happy!!

Really can't be bothered today, ho hum, not long til the weekend though I guess!

    Anyways speak soon

Really not very positive today for lots of reasons... still doubting myself... not sure what to do about my life really.... aaaahhhhh....
  • Hi missymoo,

Stop doubting yourself! Easier said than done I know, but you can't dwell on the past as it stops you living your life now!

On the weight loss front, my tip would be to not weigh yourself every day. Your weight fluctuates all the time so the best way to keep track is to just do it once a week, at the same time every week. Only then can you really know how well you're doing.
