Section 75 Credit Card

I paid £2315 to Pathway HGV for an HGV course. I never received the course as Pathway do not exist anymore, a bunch of fraudsters I think. Asked cc company for a chargeback, they have declined as even though Pathway do not exist I paid Netron Solutions Ltd (which I did not know until I received cc statement). Does section 75 cover me? CC company has asked me for another letter.
The receipt for £2315 is from Pathway that I have already sent to them. Don't know what else to say to cc company. They said under section 75 it will take a long time. I had previously paid cc balance so I really need to get money back so I can book another course.
Any tips on how to deall with cc company would be gratefully rceived.

Thanks Bill for your reply, but I have already written to them and sent the receipt for £2315. Surely it looks a bit funny if I change my tune now, saying it is a fraudulent charge?0

Dont listen to the above posters stupid advise.
Section 75 doesnt even come into play at the moment as their is a chargeback available against the transaction.
You have paid for a service and have not recieved the service.
You need to contact your bank advise them you are looking at getting a chargeback done on the this basis quote code Mastercard 4859 RS1 or if its Visa Reason code 30.
Your need to send your bank the documents
Covering letter detailing the service paid for.
Expected date of the service
What you have done to try and contact the merchant to resolve.
All your documents
Trust me I have been dealing with these at work over the last few weeks. Most of the payments have gone direc to Pathways, however the Netron Solutions from memory is another part of them. It doesnt matter who is paid on your statement. I think whoever dealt with your file has been a dumb !!!.
Quote the above, chargeback done easy as that. If the bank refuse or !!!! up, then you have Section 75 cover as its breach of contract. If they fail to adhere to any of these take it to FOS. I cant see it getting this far to be honest as its a very straighforward case.
Ps your right the merchant are at it, they are a complete joke, im sure there are several posts on here about them aswell. Trading standards are already involved.
All the best. Any issues give me a shout.0 -
Sorry just checking your post. The timescales you have stated " It will take a really long time"
From the date the bank action the chargeback, Pathways merchant bank have 45 days to review/dispute the information your bank send them.Thats as long as it takes.
As before section 75 doesnt even come into it at this stage. If your bank are asking you for another letter, it might simply be that you have missed out something required to action the chargeback in this case.
