Maybe try some dry shampoo - not sure if its suitable for under fives though - when i hurt my ankle (didn't break luckily) the best thing was a pillow underneath for support.

I know at 2 she might be a little young but would she be excited by the prospect of a 'proper' haircut - if she's ever been to the hairdresser with you she might be happy to have her hair washed in one of their basins and if she/you think a short haircut acceptable it will make it easier to manage while she's in plaster.Eat food.
