Help - My credit card balance is £1050 out !

I need some help with my LTSB credit card !, I checked online banking today and it shows................
Balance: £508.27DR
Available: £167.02 CR
Credit Limit: £2000
I almost had a heart attack as £508.27 from a £2000 limit is not £167.02 left !, so I phoned them and first guy said it was the last payment had not cleared yet (It was £1352 on 29th Dec) even thought it was showing on the account since the 29th and it was a direct transfer from my LTSB current account, so I checked and the figures even taking the payment into account did not balance, so phoned back and the 2nd Guy said it was not the payment as it had cleared, but there was some 'Pending' authorisations on the account £160 for Ebay and £117 for ASDA, which still makes me around £1050 short, he says there are no other transactions pending so he puts me on hold to speak to someone else, he then comes back and says it does balance if you add all the transactions together with the Debits and Credit etc and it will balance out tonight as my statement is printed on the 4th (Today) and the system seems to have got a bid confused !.
I guess I don't want a fraudulent transaction for £1050 to come off my account in a few days as twice they told me there was nothing else pending or authorising, and it was only to do with the various stages of authorisation !.
I have also never done any transactions on the card since the last entry on the online statement other than the £160 & £117.
Any thoughts !
Thanks

yeah this indicates something is pending and not yet on the statement. In these situations when ringing banks I tend to get the run around. They seem lost when things arent showing on the statement.0

Quick Update !
Available balance dropped again tonight to £16.97 so I phoned them and the girl said there had been a authorisation for £116.00 done half an hour ago and a decline for £230 this afternoon, I told her it was not me and she put me through to the fraud department who also confirmed a transaction of £1040 for world cruises !, so cards now stopped and a declaration to sign on its way, but I don't know why it was not spotted sooner by them as I had called twice and was told everything was fine !.
Anyway card never out of my sight, also asked if I had a note of my PIN number and I said yes in my head !, only place I ever found odd was in a Chinese restaurant takeaway when the card reader did not work and they took the card under the counter to swipe it which seemed to take a while, then asked for my driving licence for ID, although I admit I am clutching at straws as it could have been anywhere.

That sounds VERY dodgy. You should never let your card out of your sight, as all that is needed is to swipe it to clone it, so doing so out of view means they could swipe your card using an official swipe (to process your actual transaction) and then using a dodgy swipe (to clone it), and you would be none the wiser. Your PIN (if even needed) could be obtained from CCTV. It wouldn't surprise me if that's where it happened.
Sorry, being a bit over-dramatic, but that does not sound good. Restaurants and caf!s, with possibly high staff turnover, are good venues for these kind of people to operate.Lightbulb moment March 2004 (Debt £55,000) & debt-free as of May 2007 (thanks to CCCS, and a remortgage to clear last £20,000).
Looking to the future!0
