Thank you all for your replies and advice. As it happens I also posted on the Techie board and they have also suggested a Creative product and from the Creative site. Great minds and all that.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but as its about an mp3 player, well you'll see.
To answer the original poster dont buy one from a HK seller, I bought a 32gb rizone mp3 player which turned out to be a hacked 4gb player, which cost me £25, 1st lasted 1 week after getting it, sent it back to get it replaced and the 2nd one lasted 3hrs, arrived at 11am, was dead by 1pm. it was only after i googled the make that i found a forum who had a list of over 147 sellers on ebay selling this players.

HI i just bought a 4gb mp3 player from a UK seller via ebay at a cost of £15.49, unused at the moment and still in the envelope, the one ordered was a standard 4gb mp3 player that plugs directly into the usb port + fm transmitter and speaker, but i was asked by seller to cancel due to lack of stock their error, so i did using the supplied link via the ebay email, and they refunded me the money via paypal 30dec 2009, however 4 days later recieved a 4gb mp4 player instead, which they sent in error. paypal have since 30 dec the same day the refund was paid back put a "temporary hold" on the refund so niether me or the seller has the money, as paypal account is directly connected to my bank account, the money will not be transfered to my bank but will be paid into my paypal account, as i dont want to send another £15.49 as i have / should have that money in my paypal account already, how do i get paypal to release the money, so i can send it back to the seller who refunded me, as the seller has agreed that i can keep the mp4 player + fm transmitter + speaker instead of sending it back to them.

just an update, ebay released the money.
now i've played with the mp3 player i bought and its great.
1 single charge gives me 7hrs 12min continuous playback, the AA speaker is pretty good to, and the FM transmitter works flawlessly.

i got the iironics one thats advertised here:
