Cold Fan Assisted Oven

I have a Beko DVC 6531 cooker. The hobs, grill and top oven all work fine but I have just had the main oven on for 15 mins and it's just blowing cold air around inside. Can anybody offer me a solution? Thanks

Oh dear, your heating element sounds like it has gone! Fairly simple to replace, however! Hang on will look for instructions!

ETA, couldn't find your model, ask here: http://www.howtomendit.com/search.php its usually pretty easy, however if you're a bit worried at decent electrican should only charge a small fee as its a pretty quick job!

The chances are that the oven Heating element has blown.

Espares for instance sell replacements for about £15 here, the customer reviews suggest its easy enough to replace.

Just to check first, do you have any auto / manual buttons, push them a few times just to make sure its not on auto.

Happend to a friend of mine once and she was delighted it worked.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I had the same thing happen to a Hotpint oven. I thought it was the elemt too, but it actually was the rotary selector switch knob!
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)
  • Oh no, I replaced the heating element and everything seems fine apart from when the oven is heating up, it makes a really loud intermittent vibrating noise - almost like the shelves on the oven are up against the fan (which they're not because there is a cover over the fan) but that's the only way to describe the noise.
Does anybody have any idea what this may be?
