Hi,
I bought my dad an external hard drive for Christmas and put a lot of films etc in there in an avi format.
I tested each film on my laptop and it played but on his computer we are only getting sound and the swirly computer generated graphic screen.
What program should I download to get the files to work?
If it makes any difference I am using vista and he uses xp.
Thanks in advance

you dont have the correct codec installed. Install VLC that has most codecs with it and easy to use.0

You could try this program, it will sort out any problem you get if the ones above dont work.

As another poster said VLC Media Player is an excellent choice :cool:0
