I have been reading a few posts today & realise that I seem to be the only one who doesnt understand how certain things work. Can someone enlighten me please. I cant stay on now as lunch time is nearly over but i cna check back later if kids can be slung off computer for a while.
Quidco - how do people make loads of money here without spending laoads ? I can only see how to spend. (something i am sadly quite good at)
Pigsback - I click through the purple ones to make 10p here 7 there but am I missing something ?
Mystery shopping etc - How does this work ? Do you get paid to do the shop but you pay for what you buy yourself ? What happens if you have to buy from somewhere where you wont want anything ?
AQA - Do you have to answer questions straight away or get though them when you can.
Sorry to be a dimbo
Thanks
Anastacia

Pigsback - you can sign up to stuff like news letters for points, enter competitions and if you need to buy something or book a hotel like holiday inn then it's worth doing through there to get piggy points.
Quidco- best of you us it as a cash back when you buy stuff, but also worth signing up to betting sites (check their qualifying demands very carefully) and then withdrawing any funds you have deposited. Yves at the moment offer £8 cash back with no minimum spend so I've done a couple of purchases on there for birthday and christmas pressies and will get more back in cash back than I spent on buying - so I'm in profit AND have free gifts for people...
Mystery shopping varies from company to company. You choose what assignments to accept so only accept ones relevant to you and that you can get to. In the past I have done pubs, gyms and opticians... but there are loads of things to do. Check the assignments for exact details on how much to spend (how much will they re-imburse) and the actual payment for the assignment.

Hi Anastacia! No such thing as a stupid question
Pigsback - start with this thread for an introduction. There's a beginners guide on the first page and then the answers to quizzes etc are posted daily at the end of the thread. I have currently got about £30 of points without spending more than 50p!! That's through purple clickthroughs, weekly quizzes that pay 20 points a time etc, signing up to newsletters etc. All the details are in that thread and the regulars there post new offers as soon as they appear.
Quidco - definitely worth spending some time on this one! There's a thread here for discussions etc. Any online shopping that you'd normally do - check to see if you can get it at a quidco linked site (even if the cashback is pennies, it all adds up!). Try blockbuster, sainsburys dvd rental and screenselect for a total of £30 cashback for free dvd rental trials. Beware, though, some dvd companies are linked but will only pay for one trial per address (so you can't get a free trial from sainsburys and lovefilm as they are actually the same company). As tine said, check out the gambling sites because they do pay good rates. Obviously, only worth doing if you trust yourself not to get sucked in to extra gambling after your compulsory deposit/stake. I've signed up for quite a few, spent about £40 and should get about £90 (not exact figures, can't remember!) in cashback, plus I might win some of my bets (on big brother and the world cup, lol). There are offers such as £4 cashback for a free magazine trial etc, they are all discussed in the thread above.
Mystery shopping - I'm registered with the grassroots group and have had a fair amount of work from them. I've done mostly banks, making enquiries etc, and earned £10 for each one (takes about 10 mins). If its shopping that requires you to make a purchase they'll give you an allowance (say, £5) which will be paid on top of your normal payment (usually £10). I think the amount of work you get depends on where you live (big city, small town) and how many others are registered nearby. The offer gets emailed to all suitable people and the first to respond (by phone) gets the job.
Also - its worth registering with Yougov, you get send surveys by email and get paid a small amount to complete each one (very quick and easy). You get sent a cheque once you reach £50 which will take a while but you also get to see the results of research you've participated in being quoted in the media etc, if you like that kind of thing
I hope some of that helps with your questions - I don't know about AQA I'm afraid. Feel free to say if any of it doesn't make sense or I've not explained it clearly!!

He he, no I'm not but I do like writing and wouldn't mind being an author (hence I can't help waffling on here! :rotfl: ).
I hope you have some luck with both pigsback and quidco, do check out those threads, that's where the people are who know everything about them, lol.

I do some work for AQA. They've got their recruitment page up at the moment, so if you want to apply, now is a good time

If your qualifications etc are OK, you have to pass their recruitment test and be accepted as a researcher (self-employed). Once you are on their books, you can log into their system when you are free and answer questions as they come up. The busiest times are usually pub-opening times - evenings, especially at weekends. It's not easy money, but it does add up after a while.0 -

Thanks for the info! I've sent an email about applying so we'll see what happens. It looks like a fun kind of job, and good that you can log on when you want to.Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs.
