I too am looking for a venue in Manchester, cheshire, lancashire here is a few I've found in Manchester....
http://www.themonastery.co.uk/
http://www.chancellors-hotel.co.uk/Chancellors_Hotel_and_Conference_Centre_Home.html
I know this is £350 for the hire of the library for ceremony and then also another £350 for room for the reception (because it's council owned) hth

Heaton Hall won't cater for those numbers
The masonic Hall (Freemasons Hall) in Manchester, it has beautiful high ceilings, marballed floors it's lush but was out of our budget :heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -
see i just love bramall hall
or theres shrigley hall which do packages A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0 -
what about rochdale or is that too far???0
-
I'm also in that local area and love Shrigley Hall- the only problem is the price for food. £1k for full use of facilities isn't that bad though is it? I am just going to find a bargain winter price. I think I might have to negotiate at those prices!0
-
do you know if you can have own caters at shrigley since £1000 would be alright thenA big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0

I wouldn't have thought so, seeing as they are quite well known for their food as well. But hey, there is no harm in asking eh?0
-
I think Shrigley Hall is really overrated, I was there for a wedding a few years ago and it wasn't all that, there must be nicer venues in the whole of Manchester.
I also wouldn't want to recommend Sachas, unless you fancied sharing your wedding day with *ahem* ladies of the night, just check Trip advisor, most reviews are less than favourable.
What kind of budget are you looking at?,___,

We'd hopefully be able to sort the evening food out ourselves, with the help of guests bringing things for us.
But the meal we are still stuck on. With 100 people we just can not afford the standard sit down prices.
