Argos Sale

Hi

Im just after some advice. My son had great fun over xmas playing with his cousin guitar and amp (only a kids Hannah Montanah one). So as he got some money for xmas thought we would get him one (not HM tho lol).

In Argos they have a Beanstalk Guitar, microphone and amp. Perfect for him as he is only 2. However if I wanted it in pink it is only £16.66 in the sale (save over £8) but becuase Im after the blue one it is still at full price of £25.

Surely it is in effect the same product and should both be in the sale? It doesnt help that when you go on thier website the pictures for both the products are of the blue set.

Is there anything I can do to get it at the cheaper price?

if it is in effect the same product then you shouldn't mind which colour you get, if you do mind then evidently you don't think it's the same product.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Its the same product yet a different colour no real difference except for the outcasing (2 different item codes) so Argos are within their rights to set two different prices for different colours. You are not entitled to it at the cheaper price

Its entirely up to Argos which products they decide to discount.

they are obviously overstocked on the pink so are clearning some of the extra stock, its upto them what items they put on sale and what items they dont

...but be prepared for them to say 'NO'!
  • Thanks for all the replies. I did phone them and got told they were discontinuing both items (pink and blue) but they weren't changing the price on the blue one.

Oh well worth a try :D

No, it's actually saying the shop sells the same dress in Blue or Pink, but the pink one has been reduced, when the blue one is still full price. Unfortuately, this happens, they reduce the one which isn't selling as well.
