Big snag with the escape card

Topping-up the card by direct bank transfer can take 5 working days AFTER the transfer completes before the money reaches the card, says Customer Services.

Because "we are not a bank - we are a financial institution".

No mention of this severe limitation in the card docs e.g.

    Newcastle Building Society, specifically.

Anyone know a MasterCard Prepaid card that doesn't have this snag?

Thanks. I guess what we're looking for is a card issued by an actual bank.

CashPlus is issued by Broadcastle bank in association with APS
  • Ah, perhaps then: a bank accepting Faster Payments :)
