About £50 - £100"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100

Interim service is more or less an engine oil and filter change, check and top up as necessary sort of thing.
Full service will/should be more thorough, eg. change spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter (if fitted) etc., your vehicle's service book should list what is involved for each?
As the mileage/age increases more things are usually required to be changed, renewed, checked. eg. alternator drive belt.
And yes, approx. £50 - £100!0 -
Check your car's user manual. It should tell you what sort of servicing you need depending on car's age and mileage.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

Just wondering if i should take it for one.0 -
Concur the £100 thing. My Ford service is £150 for interim and £249 for 'full'.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Bearing in mind age of car I wouldnt take it to a franchised dealer but a good local independent.
Franchise Vauxhall will be 100-150 for an interim and 250+ for a full service (and they will probably find a few extras to advise you on.)
A Decent independent should be able to do the major service and MOT for around £150-£200.
I would advise getting it done as will save you problems further down the road and if nothing else may give you a heads up that problems are on the way and its time to PX it.0 -
Yup, an overserviced car is never a bad thing.0
