Hi, I have a credit card with them, and I have asked for them to refund the PPI,as I wasn't working when i took out the card, and still aren't. It won't cover me as I had cancer 12 years ago, so haven't worked since, and I told them this when i took out the card, but they applied it anyway.
Now, 10 weeks after asking them to re-pay it I've heard nowt!
Do I need to write asking them to cancel the PPI, and then ask for it to be refunded for the reason stated?
I'm a bit stuck as to what to do next.
When i took out the card I said I wasn't working, and the girl in the bank who filled in the app form for me said "oh we'll put that you earn 25k"

    Hi there

Sorry about the cancer and hope your doing okay now.

I would write back and tell them its been 10 weeks and you've heard nothing, if you still have the copy of the letter you originally sent them, enclose the copy and make them aware (this is the copy of the original first letter you sent them).
Post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.

Did you actually post the first letter to them by recorded delivery?

You could though however, give them a quick ring and ask them for an update on this if you want to.

Also just as long as the 8 weeks have passed, in your case it have, then your entitled to take this to the financial ombudsman service (FOS)
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

I would write to them to cancel to tell them the policy is worthless to you, as you will not at all benefit in any way, and expect them to refund as requested in your letter dated XX/XX/XXXX you sent to them the first time.

Hope this helps, please keep us posted and we can take it from there.;)

    Your welcome.
Give them a quick ring just in case if you want to.;)

If they say they are dealing with it, then ask them when you expect to hear from them.
Good luck and look forward to hearing from you.;)
