No hot water = Not an urgent matter

I currently have no hot water and haven't had since yesterday. I phoned our housing association to report the matter to find out the office was closed and redirected to emergency call outs.
I was informed that no hot water is not classed as an emercency call out and that the housing association office would be open on the 6th.
This will mean we will be without hot water for 3 days. Surly this can not be right?
Any help would be much appreceiated.

You got a kettle? or gas cooker?
Try having no running water... due to taps spewing it out constantly for 3-4 days.
Just boil water in pans... wash hair and face etc... and make do until they fix ir.0 -
Do you have a kettle and electricity ? If so, then I would think that boiling a kettle should provide enough hot water in the short term to allow for washing up, washing etc. It's not ideal but I'd say acceptable for a few days - I suspect that in this weather people with no heating would take priority.0

I'm afraid so - it happened to me once....had to boil water in the kettle and put it into the bath.....took me a couple of trips to do some sort of decent cleaning...
It isn't comfortable but it should definitely tide you over for 3 days...0 -

It's not an emergency as you can boil water either using an electric kettle or on a cooker.
If you had no running water at all or a blocked toilet that would be an emergency.
Even a blocked bath/sink is not an emergency unless the toilet is blocked as well.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
sadly its not classed as an emergency as we discovered when we were without heating and hot water for a month. We were reduced to boiling water for strip down washes..not ideal but better than nothing. I suspect that given the weather they are probably prioritising CH failures for repair0
