Complaining about Car Garages

Hi all,
Is there any official way to complain about Car Garages and the work carried out on your vehicle.
I've had Kwik Fit charge me £400+ for work on my engine last Oct, and it broken down again with the same problem.
I'm pretty sure they'll have a look at it again as their "parts" are meant to be under warranty for 12 months, but i was wondering what options i had if they intended to charge me further ...
thanks all

You dont have a clue whats wrong with your car yet?
How do you know its the same thing.
Really until your car is diagnosed and you have more info no one can help.0 -
surely it needs to be looked at as it could be something else0
-
What is the car?
What was wrong with it in October?
What did KwikFit do?
What is wrong with it now?
I fear the moral of this is likely to turn out to be 'don't let the KF monkeys tinker with your car'.0 -
i think the moral is that unfortunately.
Its a 2004 WV polo.
The problem was one of 3 coils on the engine; apparently when one fails the car loses ( and feels ) like it has less power and stutters as it carries oon with the remaining coils.
They charged me to replace two coils as was the diagnosed problem, but since then i've still had the warning light come one, but nothing physically happen. I took it in about that and was told they'd just forgot to take the electornics warning off when they completed the job.
But yesterday it fully stuttered again and felt exactly as it did when i first had the problem.0 -
So how do you know that it isn't the coil that they didn't replace going faulty, this time?0

Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Check your invoice and it will detail exactly what was done and what warranty they have given on the work. But why take your car to KF with an engine fault, they're bad enough with tyres and exhausts.0

The main problem is the fact you used KwikFit.0
