UPDATE:- Auction Prices Jeep Grand Cherokee 57 Plate
Does anyone know the prices ex-lease Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd CRD 57 plate 20k miles are going through the auctions at?
My lease expires on 29 January and I want to explore my options.
My previous experience is that they price they offer the leasor to buy these cars is usually quite high but some decent pricing info before discussions commence will certainly help.
Hope someone can help

Been there Duncan and I have aslo tried we buy anycar, which comes up with a very high figure.
I have just spoken to the finance company and will see what they come up with.0 -
Im not in the trade anymore but, about 18 months ago Jeep were selling that model at 50% discount brand new to shift stock and generate new sales. At about that time we were offered one as a trade in and it booked at about 7K but having then rung a couple of dealers they either didnt want them or were offering in the region of 3K under book. Although thay are a good tool they are not seen as desirable. The easiest option would be to use Autotrader, do a national search for the year and model. Find the cheapest one at a dealer and then minus approx 2K.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

I spoke to them yesterday and I am awaiting a price. I pointed out that the last time I asked (different car) the price quoted was the same (almost) as a new one.
The guy inplied that they had a company that took their cars at some sort of fixed price and that they were really pre-sold to that company and sometimes there were anomolies.
We will wait and see.
But my gut feel is they are probably selling for £12k +/- whilst the offer to me will be around £16k.0 -
I have had my offer letter from Jeep Finance they are quoting £16,800 if paid before 19 January.
Whilst this is the Glass's pricing:-
Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
3.0TD Diesel 5-door Station Wagon
2x5 Speed Automatic Four Wheel Drive
Year: 2007 57
Mileage: 20,000
Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition:
£15700
Average condition:
£13850
Below average condition:
£12150
I am totally confused at the the logic here bearing in mind they don't have to collect, valet etc0 -

they could be working backwards... what did you pay and then deduct mileage.. work out cost per mile to you.
they may have a buyer... who wants that model.. what's the waiting list like for the new model?

They will probably be giving them away...lol.
We are not talking a very popular car here.0 -
They dont want to sell it to you.
I used to sell fleet cars and some lease companies are happy doing this while others are not. They have dedicated disposal routes for all the larger leasing companies. Some cars are prepurchased but bulk will go to auction.0 -

This seems to be the case here but I still can't figure out how it works. Someone is getting getting well shafted here.
The other interesting thing is that it has to be sold to a 3rd part and not anyone under our roof, some waffle about VAT.
End of story it will have to go back.0
