Don't know whether anyone spotted this or not, but when I completed my order, if you agree to take a phone call off one of Virgin's wine advisors, they give you another £20 voucher of next order.

Also when the wine advisor calls, if you didn't like any of the wine, just say so, and they will refund anything you didn't like!

Hmmm haven't tried the chateau franc yet - wonder if it is worth telling them it is crap and returning 5 bottles to get £6 back..... and would they give £6 back anyway as a voucher was used?  (2 cases with 3 bottles in each)

Probably better keeping them for raffle prizes...

You can usually consume all of the wine and then say you don't like it and get a credit for the lot on your Virgine Wines account.

I did just that on a case load of 13 bottles and they credited me the whole lot back. It was genuinely yucky stuff though and isn't a system to be abused.

My experience with Virgin Wines is that a lot of their stock isn't as good as the stuff i've had from Laithwaites or Majestic. Which I guess would kind of explain why they can either afford to give it away or continuously offer these vouchers.

Had another dud last night...Vita Chardonnay Pinot Grigio del Veneto. Thin, no body at all and completely lacking in flavour...still managed to force it all down tho!

Wish I could get my hands on the Langhorne as people seem to rate that :-/
