Haven't booked holiday yet, going in less than a month, worried!

Hi all. Well we've been hoping the prices will come down, just our luck the only hols we could get are 22nd July to 5th August smack bang centre of the school hols!

Me and the OH are hoping to go to Tenerife for 7 days any time during this period but can't find anything decent (4* HB) less than £400 per person. His parents went in May and got a gorgeous 4* HB for 7 days for £288 - the same hotel & flights is £450 now! Arrrgh.

I've never been abroad before and I'm getting worried we won't this year either!!:eek:

whats your budget...where can you fly from and is Tenerife the only place you want to go?
But remeber May is one of the cheapest times to go (apart from late November early December)

schools here dont break up til the 26 so if you travel before then you should still get something not too inflated....dont panic...your best bet is a last minute deal so make sure your packed and ready a day or so before as im sure you could still get something last minute at the price you want to pay.....:j

My budget is less than £400 per person for a double room (me and my OH), I really would prefer Tenerife as I've had my heart set on it for 2 years whilst I was at uni and skint, lol! Though obviously the nearer it gets the more flexible we will have to be. I know its cheaper in May, but we work for the same company and the only 2 weeks we could get off together (to fit in a 1 week hol) was last week of July - 1st week of Aug.

I don't mind a late deal as long as we get a decent place but it's a bit nerve-wracking all the same! We have everything we need apart from the holiday and can fly from Manchester or Leeds so hopefully something will turn up!!

I booked tennerife last week on a Direct holidays late deal. It worked out £1388 for 5 of us (due to having two rooms for adult prices) in a 4* hotel hb flying from manchester on 7th July.
