Neighbour's noisy TV coming through the Chimney Breast

I know, not really a money saving issue, but maybe someone can suggest a solution that I can suggest to our neighbour!!
He has installed a flat screen above his fire on the opposite side to our fire (semi-detached) and ever since we have had the constant noise of it every night all through our house even on our opposite side.
We spoke to him and he said 'I don't think there's much I can do about it' . Volume went down that night then back up again next day!
any possible solutions I can give him?

I had this problem years ago with hi fi and standard tv only answer is to move or have them silenced.I would rather camp than live in a semi again.
