    Thursday: Bathroom Done!!:D:D:D

Whether it is officially or not today!

    DD (17), DS1(19) and DS2(15) outside building a snowman.:D

I'm pretending to work. I may do some of the little things that are hanging around, one curtain left to hem, and I want to check the knitting I started then abandoned last year to see where I've got to...

I have just decluttered the car of snow in the hope that the remaining bits will melt in the sunshine and I MIGHT be able to top up my washer bottle (I'm using about a 40% mix atm and might make it 50/50 actually) and top up the antifreeze, too.

What a good idea. I think I might go out and sweep the snow off the roof while it is softer (got nearly a foot sitting on top!), and try to shift some of the snow in front of the wheels. I'm going to need to use the car tomorrow, if at all possible, and the sunshine might just do the trick...

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

Penny types quicker than me! I was going to say the same. I'm a day ahead. In fact, as the kids are home as well, I may just delegate and get them to do that themselves. They're supposed to, but need yelling at...

First.. apologies for no list.. I DID do it and it just hadn't saved obviously.. normally I check but I was so tired I didn't.. there is one now.. but reading through it doesn't look like it was what was wanted or expected.. Feel free to ad lib a day and make up tomorrow/weekend. I am fine, kind of, better than fine in some respects but it looks like my 'borderline diabetes' status is being a touch eratic and flipping between low and high blood sugar and just very unstable.. hence me feeling grotty.. the cure.. eat regular, small, sensible meals... don't scarf half a tin of Roses, 10 chocolate biscuits or a whole chocolate orange in one go... I think I can deal with that.. I sometimes just need reminding. It is just a case of keeping a watchful eye on my stupid diet and eating less crap.
    Morning, just!

Been to hospital with LO, all her tests came back ok except.... The dust mite one, when i asked doc if it was possibly our rabbit she said definitely:( Not so much the rabbit itself but the bedding and hay and loose hair. Unless we shave her and make her sit in a sterile cage with no bedding looks like i'll have to rehome her. So if anyone knows anyone in Scotland who would like a lovely, friendly, house trained rabbit who is good with children let me know.

Will have to keep on top of the cleaning more as well, extra incentive i suppose.

Have emptied DW and reloaded, will S&S kitchen in a minute.

Oooh.... poor you and LO and bunny... I'd have her you know I would.. maybe you could find a friend or family member to take her on so titch can still go visit her now and again?

I'm still signed off sick, so I am going to have myself a snooze after finishing my cuppa and hopefully the pasta will have kicked in and I'll not be feeling so sick when I wake up! At least we know I am not going to the big sty in the sky!

Bathroom all done...am not tackling DDs room until she goes back to school tomorrow. Good to have a heads up, though, so that I can plan how I'm going to spend my time in there....Have also taken loads of photos of things for eBay, so I'll have a go at that later. DS is asleep, but I think I'm going to have some time to myself rather than carrying on...

Hope everyone is having a good day? We've got loads of lovely sunshine here, but it's not melting the snow. It's just started to cloud over and we've been promised snow for later....I'm still waiting for my veggie box to arrive (was due yesterday and they've promised it for today)...if it doesn't I've got to walk to the supermarket for some veggies - we've used everything up, even the 'emergency' peas and sweetcorn in the freezer. Daft really, as my nearest corner shop is further away!

Anyway, I'm off for some lunch
    Take care

That was my thinking once I read the posts too.. I thought seeing as a lot are off school then they may as well be helping... :D

Temp Manager managed to deal a final blow to me while I've been off! I had to whistleblow 2 professionals from a different place (more for those individuals safety rather than any concern for a service user) and she named me on the letters that she sent out as the person who'd disclosed concerns! Can't believe it! How am I supposed to face these people? I'm certain their line managers will have dragged them over the coals and it wouldn't surprise me if they've undergone some form of disciplinary - put it this way - the temp manager said that if someone had disclosed something like that about me then I'd get sacked ! I couldn't avoid disclosing it because it had to be part of my recordings and I'd get into a lot of trouble otherwise! What a cow! I'm gutted, could it get any worse?! Sorry to go on folks, my stress levels are through the roof!
    What a horrible ignorant woman!

Review your whistleblowing policy, as your confidentiality should have been preserved, and then talk it through with your current manager. Ask for senior management support in dealing with the issue as this is clearly out of order. You can point out that this kind of behaviour is what prevents people whistleblowing and can lead to problems (I'm sure you can provide some graphic examples of what happens when poor practice is allowed to continue). Is your temp manager still employed in the same organisation? If so, ask what action is being taken for the breach of policy/process, as you shouldn't have to instigate this, it is management responsibility. If not, ask for confirmation that she has a 'do not re-employ' note on her file with details of what she's done.
I was going to say something along these lines but you've said it much better and in more detail than me!

Procrastinator you have done really well today, little and often is the best way, babysteps remember

    Hugs JillD

Smartie your son is doing so well – and if he can get through the next 2 weeks until the snow goes his paper round will never be so hard again

Dusty thanks for the list – how funny cos I replaced our toothbrushes this week and it’s on your list!

Vanilla I hope you are better soon xx

    Hugs Shazba

Poohbear PM me your addy and I will post it to you

This morning I've washed up, shredded lots, sprayed mould and wiped it, coughed a lot due to breathing in mould spray, put away jumper.

DH has also done some moving things around as I bribed him by promising we can watch Hustle if he does something useful today.
