Best 4 slice toaster to get?

Anyone got any recommendations on which toaster to buy?
We need a new one and I've been reading reviews, and most seem to have bad or poor reviews, and I'm not spending silly money on a Dualit!
I know this isn't Which? but I do trust old stylers opinions!
I want something that is not too massive on the side but looks good, and does what its supposed to reliably...
not much to ask, you'd think.....

Ours never seem to last more than about 18 months being honest and we use ours every day - sooooo we tend to buy the ones that are half price in Argos because we have tried expensive ones (about £60 or so - lasted about 18-24 months) tried cheap ones (lasted about 3 months and then kept tripping the circuits every time they were used ) our current model is this one:

Seems to be ok and hasnt blown up or tripped the circuits yet! We did look at cover for it but it only covers accidental damage not wearing out once it is out of warranty so hardly worth it.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
we have a tefal avanti toaster (4-slice) and it's great. Still going strong after 2.5 years0

We've got this one. Had it about 2 or 3 years now and not had a problem with it. Looks good as well. It's very shiny so I use a squirt of glass cleaner to shine the sides.0

Thanks for all replies above, the 2 mentioned (other than the Tefal) were actually the ones I ws considering as they have about the best of the reviews I'd seen, so I'm feeling more confidant now that u guys have given them the thumbs up too!

Another vote for the Tefal, very consistent toast, nice design which doesn't hog space vertically, and mine has been going great guns forever.0

We have a super cheap one from Asda (about £5) about 2 years ago and has never given us any problems and is working fine to this day!:D Before this we had a really expensive two slice one that worked fine but couldn't keep up with the demand!"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal" - Henry Ford0
