itunes voucher us to uk???

im wondering if anyone can help me - my daughter got sent a $25 itunes voucher from a friend for christmas....is there a way she can use it in uk as it isnt working....

I wouldnt have thought so as i think the vouchers are region locked but could be wrong

You could try contacting Apple, they may switch it to sterling if you pay the difference to make it up to probably a £15 voucher

I doubt it I had a similar thing with amazon, The sender had to make a return on the voucher and the sender then went to the correct amazon site and bought the correct voucher currency.
So it might be a case of your friend reclaiming the voucher and then purchasing a correct currency..

Its done like that so they are not aiding money laudering.

You could do what i did with voucher code, is sign up to itunes and make the account a american account. i put zip code as 12345 and a street address of blah blah blah (lol) and it worked and i got to use my usa itunes voucher, the only disadvantage (i say disadvantage not a big one) is that not all the british music will be on there you get the major music labels.
