Pasta what to add for flavour

I was only thinking about this tonight as I added a million ingredients to my spaghetti sauce .... how strange...!

When I was in my late teens, still living at home but treating it like a hotel .... my favourite meal was pasta with plenty of butter and fresh (not that dry muck) parmesan cheese. If the didn't have fresh parmasan I would use grated strong cheddar.

It sounds so bland but it's one of those comforting meals that you can eat in bed while nursing a hangover

When I was little and 'hungry in a hurry', my Mum would make a pan of spaghetti with butter and a tin of tuna. Again, sounds bland and boring but it's comfort food pure and simple and there's always tuna, pasta and butter in he kitchen
