We love olive oil with garlic and a little chilli and plenty of black pepper.
When you say sauce do you mean tomato sauce? If so creme fraiche and smoked salmon trimmings are yummy.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Olive oil with basil and garlic, and/or just grated parmesan and black pepper, marinade some halved cherry tomatoes in olive oil with basil and garlic (got this on another thread - wonderful.) Fry some chilli and garlic in olive oil. Sprinkle any of above with toasted pinenuts.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

A tub of herb & garlic Boursin soft cheese is gorgeous
Sometimes I just roast lots of veg in olive oil, garlic & chilli and then add the whole mixture to the pasta & add some grated parmesan. (peppers/courgettes/onions/babycorn/mushrooms & tomatoes)Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I love adding lemon juice to the hot water before you cook the pasta, it adds a nice zing and means you can just dress the cooked pasta in olive oil and toss with a few chopped fresh herbs (basil, flat leaf parsley) and grate some cheese on top. Delish!0

An ex of mine used to make spicy pasta by mixing a load of garlic and fresh chillies in a blender and adding it to the water whilst the pasta was boiling. Was really nice, simple dish (apart fromt he cleaning the blender bit).
I sometimes add cannelini or butter beans with a bit of oil and some dried or fresh basil.
I also like roast veg- peppers, red onions and squash work well, just stir into the cooked pasta.
My sister always stirs Philedelphia cheese into her spaghetti- which I think is vile, but it's a suggestion!"People who "do things" exceed my endurance,
