Please can someone assist me with what I need to do to if I wanted to get sipgate working with my ntl broadband. I have a separate modem for broadband and its the ntl 250 model.
1. Is the ntl 250 modem compatable with sipgate
2. If so do I need a voip adapter
3. If I need the voip adapter whats compatable and good value for money.
4. If the 250 model is not compatable Can I use my spare belkin wireless G router model F5D7633-4
5. If I need to use the belkin router is this compatble with NTL broadband and if so how would I configure it.
Sorry if these questions have already been answered, I have tried the search function but got overwhelmed

w1. It should, voip traffics should be able to get through regardless of modem you have.
2. Yes you need a voip adapter if you would like to use your normal phone. If you're using the softphone, then voip adapter is not needed at all.
3. I've no problem using Linksys PAP2-NA on my NTL broadband, but you surely need a router for this setup.
4. As above, if you need to use regular phone with voip adapter, you need to have a router. If I'm not wrong, F5D7633-4 is an ADSL router .. sorry to say that it is not compatible with NTL. You need to get yourself a new broadband router.
5. As answered above. The best router I've found for NTL is the Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS but if you want everything in one and without wireless, Zoom X3 might be the answer. https://www.lowestonweb.com has the Zoom X3 for £55.0
