Ok imaginations are allowed to run wild here.
Assuming you have an unlimited boot capacity and assuming that you would drive your vehicle in every type of environment possible (except outer space)........I want you to help me compile a list of items to keep in the car. Also describe if its not obvious why you would carry it. Like I said, you dont have to be reasonable but the ultimate aim is for someone to think "hmm thats a good idea"...which could ultimately save them from needing to call a rescue service. Ill get started off then. please quote my post and add in your item - lets get a nice long list.. Feel free to add on "environments" too - go crazy.
Snow + Ice environment
snow chains
shovel
pickaxe
Tropical + Jungle environment
mosquito repellent
Desert environment
a tent
large canister bottled water
Motorway and long haul.
traffic cones
flares.
warning triangle
Essential Items regardless of environment
sat nav
batteries
torch
first aid kit
bible/koran/other

That will be £34 a year (in the long run - got to factor in initial purchase price of items on list) saved. Plus between 8p and 35p credit on your mobile. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

I'd be happy with a scottish army knife. It's like a swiss army knife, but... ok, it isnt.
A V8, a supercharger, and something to take out all those that are better prepared than I am.0 -
wow nice job so far on the list. and to reiterate for those whippersnappers - it is to give someone ideas and perhaps by buying an item they can avoid losing their no claims discount by calling out a recovery vehicle.
In times of emergency, tens of thousands of calls are made to emergency services and rescue services, think how many of these are down to not having basic equipment. If you dont need to call the rescue service, they can provide a faster service to those who desperately do.
They are also in a position to help other fellow motorists, who may or may not give a reward - as what happened to me when I helped a stranded car out of snow by putting all my car mats under its wheels.0
