    Thriftmonster I make these from the TWG too.How long do you bake yours for ? The recipe in the book is a bit vague.Mine always taste delicious but are very crumbly and don't hold up well to lunch box treatment.I sub the egg for soya flour.

    It's The Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn.I'm afraid I haven't got the imperial measures only US cups.I'll pm you the recipe as I don't want to get into trouble over copyright;)
