Hiya
Im not sure wether this is the right place to post this....
Im desperate for a sofa,I cant afford to get one outright and could really do with one where I can pay for it monthly but I have bad creidt(act its terrible!)due to getting myself in to a load of crap years ago.
the only place I can find is bleeding bright house and I want to go down that road as much as I want a hole in the head!
any ideas?
thanks alot.

use freecycle for an old sofa and then save up and buy a nice one outright0

Use Freecycle or look in your local charity shops / warehouses..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -

as all the above posters have rightly said.
the only things you need/want a loan for is the house (mortgage) and maybe a half decent car for work.
all the rest can wait till you saved up the dosh. you can sit on a free wooden box if required. peeps are always giving away perfectly serviceable furniture.Get some gorm.0 -
Sanctimonious people! ^^^ Did you ever think angelkt may have circumstances that mean she needs the sofa now and can't be sitting on a wooden box... e.g she has CHILDREN or something maybe?!? Seriously where do you get off?
Angelkt: The only places I have heard of is brighthouse, perfect home and buy as you view... maybe you could use them as a temporary measure and let those lot continue to sit on their soap boxes

Hi
Have you asked friends if they know of anyone replacing their furniture? I have had other peoples old sofas and it did whilst I saved for a second hand one.
HTHFind out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -

Didn't realise that children couldn't sit anywhere except a sofa...
The other posters aren't being sanctimonious, they're being helpful. Giving the OP some suggestions of where to get a sofa cheap or free, rather than getting into debt for a non-necessity.0 -
I dont think anyone above has been sanctimonious at all. They've given helpful advice, this is a money saving website, not a get into debt when not really needed website. As above the OP can go to freecycle, even ebay can be good sometimes if someone lists a sofa with a 99p start, just got to watch listings in your area. Also gumtree now do a freebie section too and can also get some bargains if someones upgrading their sofa, can get fairly new ones for under £100. Just got to keep eyes peeled really.frivolousfree wrote: »Sanctimonious people! ^^^ Did you ever think angelkt may have circumstances that mean she needs the sofa now and can't be sitting on a wooden box... e.g she has CHILDREN or something maybe?!?
