Happy new year to all,

My brother broght me a Garmin SatNav for christmas from a Halfords store near him. He was told that it had bluetooth, and could put new voices on it, he was also told that it was half price reduced from £180 to £90. Thinking it was a bargin he brought it. When I got it I turned on to start using it. I added a year of safty camera updates and 1 free voice. I then paid for a new voice but it did not work with my SatNav. Then I realised it didn't have bluetooth. I took it to my local store to either get money back or exchnge it and pay extra for a new 1. I was told that I cant take it back because I had turned it on thus updating the maps, and we are unable to return due to halfords not being able to re-sell. So I paid for a new 1. but would like to return it as it was sold under false pretenses. The duty Manager at my local store said that it was an old model and they wanted rid of them. Having been passed about by Halfords staff I am a little annoyed at the service I have recieved.

Has anybody got any ideas of what I can do ??

I don't think there is much you can do, because it will literally be your word against theirs. If the store manager denies that they said it had Bluetooth, you have no proof that they did.

In your situation I'd sell it on Ebay, and at least be sure of getting some of the money back.

While I totally agree with the bluetooth thing, its not that so much as the point that they mislead my brother. and as for the voice thing i have already thought of that and added a free voice to the same place. when satnav is plugged into computer i can see it where its ment to be but then its not in that place on the sat nav
