Phones in spain

Right...im off to work in menorca for 3 months in summer. Basically i was thinking bout getting a spanish sim to save me money. I came accross the site https://www.oneroam.co.uk and the deal seems decent...was just wondering if this site is genuin, if anyone had used this site, or if anyone could reccomend the best company to go with in spain.

also i came accross https://www.dialsaver.co.uk which claims u can call an 0870 number to spain and you will only be charged around 15p a min as a national rate....are these dodgy or will they actually be genuin? they claim that they can even be used free with mobile minutes on 02....

thanks...someone help soon plz, i need to order my sim tomorrow as im flying thursday! x

My Spanish mobile is Movistar, which belongs to the main telephone company in the country and therefore has got the best coberture (beware of small companies if you're going to an area where communications are not so good - you may find you can't use that one service; you won't have that problem if you're roaming because you'll be hooked with the nearest available service). It gives quite a decent service (compared to the rest) and the prices are not bad. Other popular companies you may want to check are Amena and Vodafone.Try checking the info here:http://www.justlanded.com/english/spain
They claim they can make you save 90% in calls while you're there.... I'm going to check it!

I have an old Virgin phone and took this to Spain for holidays. I have an Amena sim and it definately works out cheaper than using your UK sim. I did need to ring Virgin first so that they made the phone acceptable to another providers sim.
