I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

well, if it's just the one movie you have that you need to burn, use Aurora to do it, has a 3 go trial and does all the conversion burning thing all in one go

For a freebie you can use Gui for DVD Author that will allow you to have a menu for several movies
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=GUI_for_dvdauthor
choose the create DVD option and that will create a video_TS folder that you can open and burn with DVD Shrink.
Hope that helps

I use Nero 7 to author my mpegs to DVD's, works very well but takes abosultly ages and ages.....
i think nero 6 with recode can do it quite well as well.
adds menus and chapters and everything0 -
I have spent many years and used different programs to convert mpg to dvd and then burn. In my opinion the better programs are as follows:
WINAVI - very fast, but the quality of the final dvd can sometimes be inferior. WINAVI only converts, it odes not burn so you will therefore need another program to burn the final file.
TMPGENC Express - very slow, can take upto 5 hrs to convert to a dvd compliant video file. However, the quality, in my opinion, is better than WINAVI. Again, it does not burn the final file so you will need another program to burn.
NERO 7 - faster than TMPGEnc, but not as fast as WINAVI. Quality good and also burns the final product to disc (a one-stop-shop).
All of the above require an outlay of cash.
A good website to go to that holds a wealth of knowledge on converting video files is:

Just browse around.
