jennalicious wrote:A thought came to me at about 1am (yeah I know it's sad;) ) for the girly baskets. Make little drawer fresheners. Use an old net curtain, sew it into little pouches, fill with pot pourri and tie with a ribbon. I'm off to have a nap now, I was up late lol.:rotfl:
How about filling them with dried lavender from your garden,it should be ready to dry now.Just pick it and put in a vase in a cool place for a few days.P S Dont add any water to the vaseEarnings £245 in 2014:T thanks to swagbucks0 -
Hi Princessa - I bought a set of two boxes for less than £2.0 (sorry can't remember exactly how much) at Homebargains. They had different colours and I got blue as I'm doing a male hamper for my nephew who complains about never having any mens shampoo etc. It's called a storage box and it's flat pack. They are very sturdy and I've already half filled it just from one trip at Homebargains and I've only spent £9 on him so far. I'll just wrap the whole box up as one present when I've filled it.:j Addicted to money saving0

But it wasn't actually me who tried it, it was the op that i copied it from, I would give them credit but i can't remember where I read it !! It was on this forum I know this much.
But on a more serious note there are some really good ideas on this thread...I am gonna sit down later & write down a list of who I need to buy & what to buy for them.
I am gonna get all my crafting stuff back out & start making cards.
I mite even start writing down a food shopping list coz I always go for big xmas shop the day b4 xmas eve but I end up spending over £100 & we're not even at home xmas day or boxing day !! So think I need to take it easy & not buy as much this year
Plus buying all that chocolate doesn't do my diet any good :rolleyes:0 -
I have brought christmas baubles in the woolworths sale (16 for 50p) to use as gift labels on my baskets.
Just sit the basket on cellphene, gather up and tie with curling ribbon with the bauble looped through. Write on the bauble like a gift label.
It gives a really professional finish0 -
havn't been the local shopping centre for a couple of weeks...mite take a trip up there later & see wots on offer0
