freezer - best floor surface in garage

I am expecting delivery of a new large upright freezer which will go in the garage.
The garage has a concrete floor. Our last chest freezer was mounted on blocks which created a wonderful environment for over-wintering woodmice underneath!
Should the freezer be placed on a piece of old carpeting or what about perhaps some good quality decking wood blocks/lengths?
I don't want to have to move the freezer once it is in position so I would wish that whatever it is placed on would not deteriorate!!
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much.
Sally

Mine has been sitting on the concrete garage floor for the last 20+ years without any problems.0

In my old house the garage floor was originally concrete, it tended to get rather dusty over time and the surface was not that smooth - so I had is screeded level and then painted it with flooring paint. It didn't cost that much to have it done and made a much better surface for the tumble dryer and freezer, plus stopped the dust problem. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

Mine needs to be on blocks as the garage floor can be damp. I found to my surprise that the freezer had castors on it so it's a bit precarious.0
