Evening all. It's great to hear everybody fired up and motivated!
I had my 5th NSD in a row, an all time record. I have a very shameful feeling that it's giving up smoking that's done it. No more lunchtime trips to Morrison's for cigarettes and the "ooh I just need (insert unhealthy snack here)". I hang my head in shame that I was not aware of this earlier.
So I still have a crisp £10 note in my purse and I'm clinging on to it for dear life!
Good luck with the rest of the week my lovely budgeteers! xxx

First spend of the challenge
£8.57 on groceries. Only went out for shop pizza and bread, bought ( and ate!) cut price chocs, haribo and biscuits... oops !!!!!
Needed an incentive to get back on the diet wagon - this led to booking flight tickets £260 to tenerife for easter hols:j:j
Not counting flights as spend for this week as have been looking at booking for over a month and saw some decent prices today, so so far, so good! 4 days and counting.....0 -

Spent nothing yesterday, except the already budgeted for Tesco shop, so on good track so far. Doesn't look like I'll be going out today either as the snow is falling thick and fast! So more than likely another NSD

Hi Everyone
Had a bit of a spending day today but it was good fun looking round the sales and Im proud of myself for not being too tempted! *** Mmmm she says hoping no one can see her new shiny bracelet....£3.60 from accessorize sale!***
I spent £3.69 on food
£7 on said bracelet and some earings for me as I liked them full price and it was 70% off and I just couldnt resist....going to avoid the sales now though
then £12 on a present for my friends birthday
(then £10 - although some of this is for a work related thing so Im not going to count it)
and finally £7 on postage for ebay parcels....
which leaves me £17.31 left according to my calculations... Which should be fine as Im really hetic this week so no opportunity to spend and only need little bits of foodWeekly Spend Challenge £200 -
I've so far spent £9.80 (my half of dinner yesterday with BF); he's giving me cinema money back so I'm not counting that! Sherlock Holmes was so average
I think if it hadn't been a Guy Ritchie film I'd love it, but was expecting it to be so much funnier than it was! Oh and I upgraded my phone online to save a 40 mile round trip, and managed to change my contract so it's exactly the same on cost, texts, and minutes, but I get free internet too, saving me about £11 a month
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
ColleenPamela, couldn't agree with you more. You could see Guy Ritchie's muckly little fingerprints all over that film. The entire weight of the film rested on the loveable Robert Downey Jnr's shoulders. Having said that, it was enjoyable and the only film I've ever liked Jude Law in.
Sorry, know it's not a film review thread so will reign it in before I turn into Jonathan Ross! hehehe. Yet another NSD for me so far, I honestly can't believe this. I'm trying to see how many days I can get through with my tenner still intact.
I must not spend, I must not spend, I must not spend!
