Ikea! 6 chairs for 6p!! Today only! (26/06/2006)

I work at ikea and the greed of some people never ceases to amaze me. People were paying for chairs and going straight round and buying more!! there were an awful lot of dissapointed people today, if everyone had just taken the limit there would have been alot more to go round. The pushing and shoving and general bad behavior from so called adults is beyond belief, it is always the same whenever there is an offer on.

foxybabe, I totally agree with you and echo your sentiments. The crowds were big and their behaviour appalling, I also noticed people getting chairs, putting them in the cars/vans and going back in to get some more ! Perhaps it could have been better controlled, although I am not sure how ?

Is there another offer in the pipeline ? to coincide with England's next match ?

I got 6 today from Cardiff and was shocked at people pushing each other trying to get them. Maybe a raffle ticket system where each person going into Ikea will get one and only sell them to people who had a ticket. But it was a little silly having 6 per customer 2 would have been fine.

I think this was it only because the England Sweden game was a draw and they had thousands of chairs left over.

Hiya Herbal I was at Cardiff Ikea too and survived (just) - do you know if they are giving away the goodie bags with the kitchen design offer ? saw it on another thread on here but no mention of Cardiff
