All they look at is your listing in relation to the claims of the buyer . You could appeal this if you have more information to giveI've not been asked to provide any information which is unfair.
Paypal and ebay are linked so paypal will automatically refund when the tracking says you have received the item. The buyer is refunded there original payment including the postage but not the return postage (paypal can only refund what was paid). You will only get your paypal fees returned not your listing or FVFIt says a full refund, I presume this will be less the listing fee and selling fee as I can't imagine the buyer agreeing to a mutual. Do I have to refund the postage too?
And as this was paid by paypal how can ebay make me refund the buyer?
If this happens collect evidence and appeal. Dont thik of refusing to sign for it as all that will happen is it will show on RM as refused and they will refund the buyer so you have no item and no moneyI've still to receive the item back but if it is in a different condition to when I sold it do I have any right to refuse?

Sorry it was paid by cheque not paypal so how can ebay make me refund the buyer?Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Paypal will refund the buyer out of your paypal balance, if there is nothing in there they will put it into negative balance and request you put the amount in to make it reach £0. If you don't, they will suspend your paypal (and therefore your Ebay) and eventually resort to debt collectors.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0

Tell Ebay the buyer paid by cheque and under the money laundering laws, they are only entitled to a refund by the same payment means.
If Ebay wants to make a refund from Ebay funds that is fine. But as a seller you are legally obliged to refund by source.
So they cannot enforce a refund on your behalf, in this case.0
