Update note: 8 August 2005. ASOS has said it's not giving out new codes at the moment so the code below is no longer valid.
What is this?[/b]
Update 25 April 2005: This permanent code (MoneySavingExpert) is still available, now valid for a 10% discount off ASOS products. It expires on 30 June.
If you buy anything from clothing retailer ASOS and put the discount code "MoneySavingExpert"; in you will get 12% off. *
(N.B. no payment is made to MoneySavingExpert.com)
ASOS is 'As Seen on Screen' and sells cut price clothes and accessories which have been featured in the media.
This code will last till 31st March, then there should be another.
Greasypalm members can also get a further 3.5% cashback (if you don't know what GreasyPalm is read Cutting Edge Internet Shopping Techniques
Why?
In truth, it has given this discount because this site was messing up its marketing plan (hoorah).
It does lots of different promotions with magazines and provides codes. *To get these promotions it needs to pay, and it judges the success using the codes for tracking.
Many of these codes have been (legitimately as they are open to anyone) placed on this site, which biases their info. *
They called me up and said this was becoming a problem for them and very kindly after discussions agreed a solution, which is they'll offer MoneySavers their own discount code, which then doesn't impact the tracking (without payment to the site, the code is purely to benefit site users).
Does this mean no one should post other ASOS codes?
I am aware there are slightly bigger discounts available at times, however ASOS rather than fighting it has made a polite request and is looking to help.
As a result this should mean a permanent year round discount for all MoneySavers rather than just quick hits, so if you can, it'd be great if you'd consider using the above codes.
However, providing they don't break the law, according to ASOS's terms and conditions or the rules of the forum, other codes can still be listed.
