hi, sorry if it seems like i am changing the subject.. i am also looking at starting my own photography business. only pet photography rather than people.

I'm not looking for any further kit - i only have a nikon d90 but dont think i need anything more for the time being. my question is what is involved in starting a photography business? OP, have you looked into everything full yet?
  • well I'm lucky to have an accountant in the family (and I once was an accounts assistant) so that area is covered. Marketing I have experience of and I know many other wedding photogs helping me out. I've looked into albums and cost etc. Because I'm writing a business plan I guess I'm having to be more specific.
Most photogs I know didn't need a loan to start really just kind of learn as they went along. Just gradually built it up alongside another job until good enough to quit the day job.
